CANTON

Assault alleged: Justin Dale Salin, 31, of 109 Linwood Ave., Washington, was in Washington County jail on simple assault and harassment charges following an alleged incident early Saturday. State police said they responded to a call at 60 Bel Air Drive, Apt. B, at about 2:30 a.m. and were told by Karla Marie Harps that Salin had punched her in the face several times and shoved her against a wall, causing injuries.

Assault case: Felicia Nicole Newman, 34, of 954 1/2 Buena Vista St., faces charges of simple assault and harassment following an alleged incident early Thursday. State police said she told them she got into an argument with David Michael Newman in a vehicle outside the residence around 1:30 a.m., before he grabbed her by the throat and she kicked him. Police said she told them they went into the residence, where they argued and he again grabbed her by the throat before she kicked him in the head and left.

CHARLEROI

Assault charged: A borough resident is in Washington County jail following an alleged incident late Friday or early Saturday. Marknus Nyenpan Kabbah, 28, of 1005 Upper Crest Ave., has been charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. According to Charleroi Regional police, Kabbah and girlfriend Ambrea Taylor had visitors at the residence, and Taylor told them that after the visitors departed, Kabbah threw a TV to the floor and began to damage the home. Police said she told them she and Kabbah had been arguing, and when she went upstairs, he began to punch her. Taylor said she went back downstairs and picked up a knife and he backed away. Police said when they arrived, Taylor stated that Kabbah had left. Officers searched the home and found the suspect hiding in an attic crawlspace.

WEST FINLEY

Burglary: State police reported that a residence at 248 Beham Run Road was burglarized between Nov. 1, 2018, and Thursday. They said a neighbor saw three males on the property in November and, when confronted, the males said they were looking at the house. The neighbor said the three then left in a black sedan and a gray sedan. It was determined later that the residence had been entered in recent months, though not forcibly. Police said a 2013 Hyundai Sonata was spotted.
