Nighttime Route 40 closures planned
Route 40 will have nighttime closures so that the beams on the bridge carrying Route 8042 eastbound ramps over Route 40 at the West Brownsville/California exit can be removed. Route 40 in this area also has a 12-foot restriction in place.
This nighttime work will occur from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. April 3 and 4. In addition, in August there will be additional nighttime closures so that the new beams can be set. A marked detour will use Old National Pike, Bridge Boulevard and Market Street.
