Crash: A woman suffered minor injuries and faces driving under the influence charges following a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Pike and Silver Maples streets early March 15. Township police said Britany Nicole Hill, 28, of 107 Ketchum Drive, Canonsburg, was unresponsive in her vehicle, with cuts on her face, when police arrived. Police said that when she woke up, she had no recollection of what happened after she left the nearby Black & Gold Bar. Police said Hill declined EMS treatment, and that her blood-alcohol content was 0.182 percent.
EAST BETHLEHEM
Sobriety checkpoint: State police conducted a sobriety checkpoint the night of March 15 on state Route 88. During the checkpoint, police made two driving under the influence arrests, a misdemeanor arrest, and issued four traffic citations.
NORTH BETHLEHEM
Drug charges: Jeremiah Charles Lewis, 26, of 425 Hickory St., Richeyville, was charged by state police with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct following a traffic stop March 6 on Route 519. Police said Lewis was sitting in the back seat next to a small child in a car seat. Police said the car smelled of marijuana, and when they searched it, they found a baggie of marijuana behind the car seat, along with a smoking device on the floor.
