Louise Heider
Louise Heider, 84, of Houston, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, April 19, 2019, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born June 15, 1934, in Canonsburg, to Robert and Mary Jankowiak Sulkowski, who preceded her in death.
On June 4, 1955, she married Harry Heider, who passed away April 29, 2015. They celebrated 60 years of marriage together.
Mrs. Heider was employed as a nurse’s aide at Washington County Health Center for 32 years, earning a well-deserved retirement beginning in 1996.
Louise enjoyed listening to polka music, doing puzzles and playing cards. Above all, she was a devoted matriarch of her family and will be sadly missed but always remembered with love and fondness.
She was blessed with five children, who survive, David Heider (Rochelle) of Washington, Maryann Emph (Mark), Cindy Ewing and Carol Ann Heider, all of Houston, and Faith Ann Cain (Rodger) of Washington. She was the adored grandmother of five grandchildren, Michael Heider (Brandi), Logan Tharp (Bobby), Lisa Hathaway (Ben), Deborah Cianfione and Harley Cain, and 13 great-grandchildren, Ryder, Riggs, Bentley Eckert, Gage and Pacey Heider, Shylynn and Danica Cianflone, Rylie Ewing, Syvanna, Brinn, Gavin Hathaway Carson Tharp and Serenity Tharp.
In addition to her husband and parents, she now rests with her granddaughter, Christine Marie Cain; grandson Jordan Michael Raineri; and great-grandson Noah Hathaway, who all preceded her in death.
Words cannot express how much Louise was loved and how much she will be missed.
