Southmoreland 11, Waynesburg 7: Southmoreland hit six home runs in an 11-7 victory over Waynesburg in a Section 3 game in Class 3A.

Charity Henderson hit a solo and 2-run blast and winning pitcher Jess Matheny blasted a three-run shot and a solo one. Lexi Kilt and Faith Miller each hit solo home runs for the Scotties.

Selena Phillips had a double for Waynesburg (0-1, 3-1).

Bentworth 7, Charleroi 3: A 6-run fourth inning propelled Bentworth to a 7-3 victory over Charleroi in Section 3-AA.

Leah Lindley struck out 10 and went 2-for-3 with a double for the Bearcats. Katie Babirad went 3-for-4 and Lauren Navrat tripled.

Kylie Quigley struck out eight in a losing cause.
