Drug disposal event scheduled in Peters Township
On April 27, Peters Township Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
People can bring pills for disposal to any of the following sites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m: Rite Aid Pharmacy, 4185 Washington Road, McMurray; Giant Eagle, 4017 Washington Road, McMurray; Heisler’s Market, 601 E. McMurray Road, McMurray; The Country Store, 698 Venetia Road, Venetia.
The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
