On July 21, Friends of the Bentleyville Public Library will honor as its seventh Good Citizen of the Year Dr. E. Ronald Salvitti. Salvitti, a former Bentleyville resident, is known for his distinguished career in ophthalmology and his extensive philanthropy through the Salvitti Foundation. The event will be held at Nemacolin Country Club in Centerville at 1 p.m. The program will include a luncheon, a basket auction, and tributes to honor Salvitti. His colleagues, associates, and family and friends are invited to join in honoring him. Dr. Setan Lee of TransformAsia will speak at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Waterdam Evangelical Free Church, 208 Galley Road, Canonsburg. Lee, a social worker in Colorado, has addressed the U.S. Congress, been a guest speaker for George W. Bush’s President’s Prayer Breakfast and spoken before hundreds of U.S. and Canadian congregations.
