Carl A. Cigana
Carl A. “Bo” Cigana, 86, of Muse, the beloved husband of Jean, died Thursday, July 11, 2019.
He was born March 26, 1933, in Houston, a son of Angelo and Dana Bruno Cigana.
Mr. Cigana worked for Hankinson Corporation, Canonsburg, retiring after 30 years of service. His passion for family and friends allowed him to enjoy constant company at his home, as well as many trips to the ocean and to Geneva on the Lake. Besides swimming and exercising, he enjoyed polka dancing. His many friends from the Muse Italian Club shared his interest in great conversation and fun. Also, a second nickname was “Smiley” to all who knew him, due to his good nature.
On November 6, 1954, he married F. Jean Zagar, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are their son, Carl Brian (Patty) Cigana of West Mifflin, and two sisters, Toni Finney (the late Roy) of Houston and Virginia (Fred) Fish of Ashtabula, Ohio. He was the proud grandfather of three, Brandon (Jen) Cigana of Whitehall, N.Y., Ashley (John) Karger of Cranberry and Kylee Cigana of Pittsburgh. He leaves fond memories to his four great-grandchildren, Maddie, Mason, Maebrie and Giuliana; sister-in-law Kathy; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers Anthony Cigana and Angelo Cigana and sister Mary Engott.
He believed he will be with us always – to those he loved and those who loved him.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, in Holy Rosary Church, 246 Muse Bishop Road, Muse, PA 15350, 724-745-3531, with Father George DeVille officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Mausoleum, McMurray.
