In regard to the Oct. 9 story in the Observer-Reporter, “Commissioners from three counties write to Trump, Biden,” the commissioners expressing their support for the gas and oil industry jobs and tax revenue is short-sighted. The jobs and and revenue are short-lived. The climate warming effects of the carbon dioxide and methane pollution, plus the plastic particles polluting our rivers, are the long-term destructive price we pay.
