Judith A. Regelman Spina, 76, of Moorefield, West Virginia, formerly of Canonsburg and Shaler Township, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020.
Judy was the beloved mother of Christina (Scott Conners) Spina of Baker, W.Va. and Lisa (Stephen) Fountain of Charlottesville, Va.; loving grandmother of Abigail, Noah, Isaiah, Benjamin and Levi Fountain.
Judy was born January 28, 1944 to Donald and Sabbina Regelman of Shaler Township. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School she went on to study Physical Education at Slippery Rock University. In 1966, she met Kenneth J. Spina and they wed July 2, 1967. Kenneth passed away November 22, 1998. They lived in Canonsburg and raised two daughters, Christina and Lisa.
Judy taught physical education at St. Patrick’s School. After retiring, Judy took care of her mother, Sabbina Regelman. After Sabbina passed away, she moved to Washington. A few years later, she moved to Moorefield, W.Va. Judy enjoyed meeting new people, going to the beach, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and visiting her grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Spina.
She is survived by her daughters, Christina Spina and Lisa Fountain; and her five grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcomed in the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 11. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 12, in St. Maria Goretti Parish, Immaculate Conception Church.
