Joseph Nelson Talbert passed away on December 15, 2020, at the age of 84.
Preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Bertie) Alverda Rockwell Talbert. Their deep love provided them a full married life of 59 years together. Joe and Bertie loved dancing, playing cards, golfing and traveling together. Their love was truly one for the ages.
Joe was a hardworking man with a quiet disposition. He earned his Bachelor of Science while working full-time to support his family. Providing for his family was his top priority with every job he held from Navy Seaman, laying flooring, machinery sales, and moving his family to Virginia where he worked as a machinist for UPS.
Joe is survived by his four children, Trent, Michelle, Kristin, and Marlene; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Talbert; and sister, Gwendolyn Metzner. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Talbert; and sister, Lorraine Mazzaco.
