Marcie Lynn France Williams
Marcie Lynn France Williams, 55, of Canonsburg, went to be with her Lord Saturday, January 23, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a six-year courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born November 3, 1965, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Edward and Geraldine Smith France of Canonsburg.
Marcie was a member of the St. Patrick Worship Site of St. Oscar Romero Parish. She was a 1984 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and attended the Community College of Allegheny County. Marcie was employed by Sarris Candies for many years until the recurrence of her cancer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching the Steelers, Penguins and Pitt Panthers, and dancing.
On May 26, 1990, she married Edward P. Williams III, who survives after 30 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband and parents, left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Justin Williams (Tori Dunn) and daughter Jessica Williams, both of Canonsburg; sisters Amy (Dave) Neely, Edrianne (Joey) Jackovic and Deanna (Bill) Rupar; nieces Samantha (Glenn) Stewart, Joslyn and Ellaina Jackovic, Emily Rupar (Godchild), Lauren Mann (James Gregorakis), Megan and Sophia Kresse, Aaleya, Taylor and Madison Williams; her nephews, godchild Edward Danyo Jr. (Jennifer Fuller), Evan Rupar, Luke Kresse, Austin, Colton and David Williams; mother-in-law JoAnn Williams; sisters-in-law Patricia Mann, Diana (Steve) Abreu and Lori (Mike) Kresse; brothers-in-law John (Terri) Williams, Eric (Amy) Williams, Tim and David Williams; great-niece Reagan Stewart; great-nephew Jensen Stewart; as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents; father-in-law Edward P. Williams Jr., brothers-in-law Mark Williams and Charlie Mann.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 7:40 a.m. Thursday, January 28. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Thursday in the St. Patrick worship site of St. Oscar Romero Parish. Masks and social distancing are required in the funeral home and church due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Private interment will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
