Deemston sets public hearing on road donation
Deemston Borough Council will hold a public hearing Wednesday on plans to donate a portion of a local road to an outdoorsmen association.
Council has been asked to give up Pump Station Road to Marianna Outdoorsmen Association, a nonprofit that would gate the road just beyond the last house, a councilman said.
The move would give the association control over who could drive to Ten Mile Creek to fish in the borough.
The hearing is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the borough building, 1622 Morey Road.
