Herman “Buck” L. Helmich, 82, of Bethel Park, peacefully passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, Monday, June 7, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Marion DeMarino Helmich for more than 63 years; loving father of Craig Helmich (Rachel), Veronica Delaney (Jeff) and Stacy Behary (Andy); proud Pap Pap of Brandon Dauberger (Julia), Garrick Dauberger, Justin Ray, Morgan Behary, Braden Behary, Maximus Helmich and Persaius Helmich; great Pap Pap to Kaleb, Ryleigh and Jude Dauberger; brother of William Helmich (Irene) and Elizabeth LoGreco (Kenneth); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Buck was a proud member of the Carpenters Union Local #432 and retired from Volpatt Construction Corporation in 2001. He loved to travel in his motor home with his family, ride his motorcycle and his horses (roping and penning), hunting and shooting at the Library Sportsmen’s club. As a man who wore many hats, he loved helping in every project his children, grandchildren and everyone else had going on. He will be missed for his sarcastic wit and his loving and giving heart to all.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, in the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Route 88), Library. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 11, in St. Louise deMarillac Church. Everyone please meet at the church.
