Bertha Myers
Bertha “Bunny” Myers, age 65, of Clarksville, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, in Washington Hospital.
Bunny was born February 23, 1956, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Naylor Morris Sr.
Bunny is survived by her husband, Wayne Myers; son, Nathan S. Danforth of Clarksville; sister, Marcia Knestrick of Nemacolin; two brothers, Robert Jr. and Glenn Morris; nieces, Melissa Renaldi, Miranda Riggleman, and Nicole Lash; nephew, Levi Morris; great nieces, Gianna Renaldi and Chloe Riggleman; great nephew Roy Riggleman V.
A daughter, Rebecca Danforth, died in infancy.
Bunny was a graduate of The Washington Hospital School of Nursing and was licensed in 1977. She worked as head nurse and lead trauma nurse at the former Greene County Memorial Hospital for 15 years, and at Albert Gallatin Health Care until retirement.
She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Carmichaels, President of United Methodist Women, and a past treasurer of the United Methodist Women at the district level. Bunny worked in the A.C.T.S. shop, and at funeral and election dinners. She had a heart of gold. “Whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers; that you do unto me.”
Family and friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels, Pa., Paul M. Lesako, Supervisor, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church, Carmichaels, Pa. The service will begin at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Dayton Mix officiating.
Burial will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery.
