Word has been received of the death of Harry S. Stafford Jr. of Ocklawaha, Fla., February 17, 2016.
He was born in Sunbury to the late Harry S. Stafford Sr. and Catherine E. Kulp Stafford, and moved to Canonsburg when he was 10 years old.
Harry graduated from Canon-McMillan High School in 1962 and joined the Navy, serving until 1966. He worked for 84 Lumber Company for several years, then worked at McGraw Edison for many years.
He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church in Houston.
He is survived by his children, Christie (Michael) Mitchell of Salisbury, N.C., Gabriel (Maria) Stafford of San Diego, Calif., and Hannah (Andrew) Halfhill of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother, John P. Stafford of Nashua, N.H.; and three sisters, Edie (Don) Thompson and Dorothy Kantor of Canonsburg, and Kate (Bob) Zrimsek of Eighty Four; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an older brother, Charles W. Stafford.
