Nellie M. Snyder, 95, of Washington, died Friday, August 6, 2021, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington.

She was born April 16, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of the late S. Earl and Mary Nellie Canan Post.

Nellie was a member of 1st Christian Church.

She was a 1944 graduate of Trinity High School. After high school, she attended Penn Commercial and worked at Harper Feed Mill before becoming a full time mother and wife.

On September 18, 1953, in Claysville, she married the love of her life, Charles, M. “Pete” Snyder, who died December 12, 1989.

Surviving are two sons, Charles W. and John R. (Barbara) Snyder, both of Washington; a brother, S. Earl Post Jr. of Claysville; and a sister, Martha Jean McCullough of Claysville.

Also deceased are two sisters, Mary Borsane and JoAnn Lilley.
