Daniel R. Luketich, 37, of Brentwood, formerly of Bentleyville, passed unexpectedly Saturday, August 28, 2021.

He was the loving husband of Jennifer L. McCarthy; cherished son of Tracy (Charles) McBride; son-in-law of Kevin and Marilyn McCarthy; brother of Timothy Luketich and Bethany Dragich; brother-in-law of Jessica McCarthy. He also will be missed by “Phoenix”, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and many friends.

Daniel served 14 years in the Air Force/Army earning many awards and achievements before his retirement. Anyone who knew Daniel would be aware of his love for animals, especially dogs. He was a devoted “dog dad” to Phoenix. He enjoyed shooting, traveling, playing cards, volunteering at animal shelters, watching paranormal television shows, especially Ghost Adventures and Destination Fear. Daniel was a very kind and generous man, always trying to make others laugh and smile with his quirky sense of humor.

Friends will be received from 3 until 7:30 p.m., the time of a blessing service, Wednesday, September 1, in the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227. Funeral services will be held privately.
