John David Rogers
John David Rogers, 73, of Carmichaels, died Monday, November 15, 2021, in his home.
John was born September 15, 1948, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Herbert “Bud” and Ann Bane Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Lee Haney Rogers; a son, Mark A Rogers; three grandchildren, Dylan Rogers, Rebecca Richards and Hunter Rogers; great-grandson, Ryan Richards; a brother, Bill Rogers (Nancy); a sister, Judy Penvose (Jay).
In addition to his parents, deceased is his first wife, Leann Headley Rogers; and a sister, Barbara Howes.
John served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the American Legion Post 400.
He worked for years as a welder at Fruehauf Corp. of Uniontown until it closed. John loved cars and car detailing. He was working for Mike Cheswick’s detailing shop until he became ill. He kept his Dodge Challenger, GMC truck and Harley in immaculate condition.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fordyce.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 18, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, November 19, in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home, 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320 (724-966-5100). Paul M. Lesako, funeral director/supervisor. Full military rites will be accorded at Garards Fort Cemetery.
