Martha M. “Marcy” Grimm, 81, of Washington, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in her home.
She was born March 4, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Norton G. Gough and Rachel L. Rush Gough.
Marcy was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School.
She worked as a waitress for many years at Brother’s Restaurant, The Italian Oven, The Olympia Diner, and finally The Tower, from where she retired.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, word searches, and watching Jeopardy.
On March 30, 1963, in Winchester, Va., she married the love of her life, Allen K. Grimm, Sr., who died April 22, 2014.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherri (Jeff Mastic) Unrue, of Washington; two sisters, Linda L. Bird, and Deborah (Ed) Cochran, both of Washington; and a grandson, Shane Ryan “Squirt” (Kirstin) Unrue.
Deceased is a son, Allen K. Grimm, Jr.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
