Larry James Comito
Larry James Comito, 79, of Eighty Four, passed away Wednesday morning, November 17, 2021, in his home.
He was born July 29, 1942, in Washington, a son of the late Michael and Sudie Whaley Comito.
Mr. Comito was a graduate of the Trinity High School.
A veteran, he served with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, and was a member of the American Legion Post 175, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927, both of Washington, and the Wounded Warriors in Eighty Four.
For 26 years, he owned and operated Larry Comito Refuse Service.
Mr. Comito was an avid hunter and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching western movies.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Dean Comito; children, Larry Comito, Jr. of Charleroi, Michelle Woodhouse (David) of Eighty Four, and Sandra Young of California; 10 grandchildren, Cody, Erin, Nichole, Matthew, Jocelyn, Dakota, Gunnar, Billy, Marissa and Larry; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Comito (Irene) of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 22, 2021, with the Pastor Paul Mitchell, officiating.
A procession will follow to Scenery Hill Cemetery for a committal service and military honors by the American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville.
