Emma Lucinda Kistler

Emma Lucinda “EmmaLou” Kistler, 92, of Coal Center, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, in Mon Valley Hospital.

She was born February 3, 1929, in Clover Hill, a daughter of the late John Oscar and Lucinda Phillips Ames.

A homemaker, EmmaLou was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of Tan O Bell ladies bowling league.

She enjoyed baking and loved and forever missed her granddaughter Lucinda.

Surviving are a daughter, Diana Lynn Vincenti (John) of Clover Hill; a son James H. Kistler Jr. of Coal Center; four grandchildren, Dave, Mike and Bill Henderson and Patricia Schweitzer; several nieces and nephews. She was last of her immediate family.

Deceased are her husband, James H. Kistler Sr.; granddaughter, Lucinda Diana Vincenti; daughter-in-law, Patricia Kistler; three sisters, Edith Morton, Evelyn Bradshaw and Etta Kokoska; five brothers, Emery “Jiggs”, Edwin, Phillip, Francis and Lloyd Ames.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, December 3, the time services, in Grace United Methodist Church, 420 California Drive, Coal Center, with Pastor Ken Custer officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contribution be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
