On January 27, 1957, she married William Hahn Smith, who passed away on January 27, 2018.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Scott (Mary) Smith of Colorado; daughters, Tracy Smith of Canonsburg and Stacy Davis of Venetia; grandchildren Schuyler (Beth) Smith, Stephon Smith, and Shaeffer (Adrian) Smith of Colorado; Rocco, Reanna and Giada Davis of Venetia; great-grandchildren, Rowan Smith and Aidan Ellwood; sister-in-law, Frankie Bonifield, and nephews, Brad (Mary Lynn) Bonifield, Brent (Patricia) Bonifield, and Blaine (Kim) Bonifield.
Bonnie lived in McMurray since 1969, and was a graduate of Waynesburg College. In 1979, Bonnie worked at Lion’s Den Footwear at Donaldson’s Crossroads for fourteen years where she got to meet many residents of the township. After that, she worked for Charles the Cobbler.
Bonnie started working for the Peters Township School District beginning at Elm Grove Elementary, McMurray Elementary, and finishing at Bower Hill Elementary as a lunch monitor. She was well known by many as the “lunch lady.” To those that knew her, you could always find her at the McMurray Dairy Bar talking to some of the many people she knew.
In her younger years, Bonnie and her husband Bill enjoyed square dancing and belonged to the Friendly Squares for many years.
Bonnie was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, one of the friendliest people you would ever meet. She is already missed.
