Virginia Pataski, 87, of Pitt Gas, Clarksville, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 1, 2012, in her home, with family at her side.
She was born December 7, 1924, a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Mickaloff.
Mrs. Pataski was the loving wife of the late William Pataski, who died April 7, 2005.
She was a devout member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Carmichaels.
Mrs. Pataski was a kind and gentle lady. She loved to read and derived pleasure in telling stories to her children and grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed daily car rides with her daughter. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Marsha Pataski of Clarksville, Norma Hickman of Greensboro, Jenny Pataski (Mike Sosnak) of Low Hill and Kathy Scarsellato (Daniel) of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude Good of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Ronald Pataski; sisters Clara and Martha; and a son-in-law, Dennis Hickman.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Frank Burkus Funeral Home, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, 15348. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 286 Old Route 21 Road, Carmichaels, with the Very Rev. Rodney Torbic officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna. A Pomen service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
