Vicky L. Barney Mongell, 70, of Connellsville, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, in her home, comforted by her loving family. Vicky was born December 18, 1951, in Washington, a daughter of the late Ernest S. Barney and the late Peggy A. Jeffries.

Vicky is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul Mongell; a daughter, McKenzie Mongell Goforth of Connellsville; three grandchildren, Kaiden and Alex Goforth, and Savanna Bell; one brother, Ernest “Spanky” Barney; and one sister, Melanie Slogick.

In addition to her parents, Vicky was predeceased by a son, Tony Mongell; and a brother, Shawn Barney.

There will be no public viewing or visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, in St. Rita Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Paul Lisik as celebrant. A fellowship luncheon will be held in St. Rita Social Hall immediately following the Mass. Interment will be private.
