Annette “Sis” Leichliter Strope, 76, of Waynesburg, died at 8:18 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the Emergency Room at Washington Hospital. Annette was born Tuesday, April 10, 1945, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Clarence J. Leichliter Sr. and Wilda Mae Thomas Leichliter.
Annette was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in West Waynesburg. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and reading.
On Friday, August 19, 1966, Annette married her soulmate, Charles R. Strope, who passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, in Washington Hospital.
Annette is survived by her sister, Tammy Leichliter of Waynesburg; daughter, Michelle (Floyd) Conaway of Waynesburg; estranged son, Michael Strope of Carmichaels; grandchildren, Jeremy Conaway of Waynesburg, Nicole Conaway of Waynesburg, Jennifer (Jeff) Miller of Washington, and Courtney Hersh; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Kacey Conaway of Waynesburg, and Victoria and Isabella Miller of Washington; and her very dear cousin, Johnetta Black.
In addition to her parents and husband, Annette was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Leichliter; and two brothers, Clarence “Jake” Leichliter and Charles Leichliter.
At the request of the deceased, services will be private.
