Maureen Elaine Leis
Maureen Elaine Leis, 77, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, April 10, 2022.
She was born April 16, 1944, in Canonsburg, a daughter of George and Stella Cwynarski Simms.
Maureen worked as a receptionist at Townview Health and Rehabilitation.
She loved animals, especially cats, loved spending time with her family, and was a supporter of the Washington City Mission.
Surviving are her husband of over 52 years, Ralph Leis; son, Eric Leis, of McMurray; daughter, Erin (Michael) Athey, of Dormont; brother, George “Larry” (Piera) Simms of Washington; sisters, Kathleen Wylie, of Canonsburg, and Sharon Jordan, of Lone Pine, several nephews and nieces and several great-nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Simms.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at noon, followed by burial in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
