Karen A. Gallagher
Karen A. Gallagher, 66, of Fayetteville, formerly of Washington, died Friday, May 13, 2022 in the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
She was born September 30, 1955 in Washington, a daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Phyllis M. Watkins Kinder.
Karen was a 1973 graduate of Bentworth High School and continued her studies at the Bradford Business School.
She worked in the human resources department of Target, and previously worked in administrative positions for Jessup Steel and McGraw-Edison.
She was an avid card player and enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with her husband in her youth. She was extremely family oriented and cherished her son most of all. She was a Past Matron of the Martha V. Paul Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Stuart K. Gallagher of Fayetteville; a sister, Kelly A. Horner of Eighty Four; a nephew, Matthew (Karinna) Horner; three great-nieces, Bella, Alexis and Sophia Horner, and a great-nephew, Hoyt Horner.
Deceased is a brother-in-law, Henry H. Horner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, the hour of services, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating. All other services will be private.
