Greene County pleaders

WAYNESBURG — Multiple criminal defendants pleaded guilty Wednesday before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman. They included the following:
Joy Lynn Krosunger, 44, of 203A S. Market St., Carmichaels; offenses – Driving under the influence of alcohol and one summary traffic violation. Krosunger was arrested July 2, 2012 on Route 88 near Dry Tavern. Police said Krosunger passed them on Route 188 near Shortcut Road in Jefferson Township while traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of her lane of traffic. When she proceeded onto Route 88 heading south, Krosunger continued to drive erratically, nearly striking a guardrail, police said. When they pulled her over, a strong odor of alcohol was present. Krosunger had a blood alcohol content of 0.300 percent; sentence – Six months of Greene County Intermediate Punishment with the first 30-days under house arrest, and ordered to pay $1025 in fines, plus court costs and fees.
Peter Vincent Fanase, 30, of 387 Hull Run Road, Waynesburg; offense – burglary. Fanase entered the unlocked home of Kelly Tichenell at 623 Sixth St., in Morgan Township on Feb. 18 knowing she was out of town. Fanase stole several items, including; a Toshiba tablet, Vista camera, an Xbox 360 bundle, video games and a Savage .32 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Tichenell’s mother realized the house was burglarized when she saw the lock on the gun cabinet was broken and called her daughter. Fanase sold some of the items to the Waynesburg Gold and Coin Exchange where a friend of Tichenell is employed. Police were alerted and retrieved the items; sentence – 9 to 23 ½ months incarceration deferred until Aug. 14 with credit for 6 days’ time served. Fanase was ordered to pay $1,230 restitution to Tichenell plus $500 in fines, court costs and fees.
Paul Edward Norris, 38, of 207 N. Washington St., Masontown; offenses – DUI second offense and three summary traffic violations. Norris was clocked by state police driving 74 mph in a 40 mph zone along Route 21 in Monongahela Township on Oct. 7. When Norris pulled over his blood-alcohol content was 0.199 percent and his license was under suspension for a previous DUI charge; sentence – 5 years in the County Intermediate Punishment Program, fines of $1,620, 125 hours of community service, plus court costs and fees.
John Michael Pavlock, 59, of 65 Cherry St., Clarksville; offense – DUI. Police said Pavlock’s vehicle was stopped on Center Street at South Street in Clarksville Borough Sept. 1 with its rear end four feet into the opposing lane of traffic. When they asked why he was stopped Pavlock said he didn’t know, according to police, who said they detected a strong odor of alcohol. Pavlock’s blood-alcohol content was 0.246 percent; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months incarceration deferred until Aug. 8. Pavlock was ordered to pay $1,000 in fines, perform 25 hours of community service and pay all court costs and fees.
Nevin C. Renner, 47, of 542 Sharps Run Road, Spraggs; offenses – DUI second offense, driving on a suspended license, and three summary traffic violations. On Jan. 8 state police were advised of a possible DUI suspect at the I-79 McDonalds. When police arrived, Renner was exiting the parking lot. They followed him onto I-79 north. Renner exited at Ruff Creek making a left onto Route 221. While following him, police ran his information and it came back as DUI suspended. When Renner turned onto Route 19 north without signaling, they pulled him over. His blood-alcohol content was 0.215 percent; sentence – 1 to 5 years in the County Intermediate Punishment Program with eligibility for the Risk Recidivism Reduction Incentive in 9 months. Renner must pay $2,586 in fines plus all court costs and fees.
