Richard A. Boop

Richard A. Boop, 62, of Washington, died Sunday, September 4, 2022, in his home.

He was born March, 22, 1960, in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late George Arlen and Thelma Hand Boop.

Richard was a member of the First Christian Church of Canonsburg.

He was a 1981 graduate of McGuffey High School.

Richard retired from “The Workshop” in 2018.

In his free time, Richard collected tee- shirts and ball caps. He also was a lover of music, cars and dogs, especially St. Bernards.

Surviving are a sister, Arlene (Anthony) Juchniewicz, of Houston; two nieces, Jonette Gallo and Tika Lane, both of Canonsburg; and a nephew, Laramonte Lane, of Canonsburg.

Deceased, in addition to his parents are two uncles, Wesley Hand and Terry Boop.

The family would like to extend their utmost appreciation to the entire staff at ARC Human Services.

Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the time of service Friday in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave., Washington, with Reverend Janet Scott-Mace officiating. All other services are private.
