Boilermakers Local 154 retiree was fire police officer

Kenneth A. Linton, 63, of Eighty Four, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

He was born November 27, 1949, in Charleroi, a son of the late Arthur and Ada Thompson Linton.

Mr. Linton was a 1968 graduate of Bentworth High School.

In 2002, after 33 years of service, he retired from Boilermakers Local 154.

Mr. Linton was a member of Somerset Township Volunteer Fire Department and a fire police officer. He was also a member of Boilermakers Retirees Club.

He enjoyed bingo, fishing, hunting, cooking and riding his tractor.

Surviving are three children, Stacy Rush (Raymond) of Eighty Four, Shannon Knox (Teddy) of Bentleyville and Marshall Linton of Lewisville, Texas; five grandchildren, Makayla Linton-Rush, Arastasia Linton-Rush, Gavin Linton-Rush, Tanner Knox and Tyson Knox; sister Sharon Hamilton (Terry) of Niles, Ohio; three brothers, Richard Linton (Cyndi) of Beallsville, Wayne Linton of Yukon and James Linton (Jackie) of Youngstown, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

His wife, Elaine Motichak Linton, died March 13, 2001.

Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, is brother Arthur Linton Jr.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, with the Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Linton family, in care of Greenlee Funeral Home.
