Glassport man accused of endangering children
A Glassport man was arrested Wednesday by Monongahela police after he reportedly took two Glassport girls in his camper to Tubby Hall Park on Chess Street in New Eagle.
Paul E. Everett, 43, is charged with two counts each of corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.
The girls went to the home of a friend after they said Everett was making them feel uncomfortable. One of the girls said that Everett picked her up Tuesday in Glassport. The other girl was already in the vehicle. She also told police that he was making sexual remarks to them, indicating he liked younger girls.
The two had reportedly been with Everett on a previous visit to the park, when he allegedly offered them beer and marijuana.
Everett denied allowing the girls to stay with him. When police found a bag belonging to one of the girls inside the camper, Everett claimed they must have broken into the vehicle.
Police checked a cellphone belonging to one of the girls and saw that Everett had called her nine times since they left the camper.
Everett was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
