Scott D. Miles, 62, of Beallsville died Friday, January 27, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born June, 1 1960, in Camp Lejune, N.C., a son of Larry and Ann Malacarne Miles of Canonsburg.
Scott was a 1979 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and was a machinist employed by SKC, Inc. of Eighty Four for several years.
A die-hard Steelers fan, Scott was serving as the current mayor of Beallsville Borough and enjoyed helping others and giving to the community; he would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone who asked. He was also known for his quick wit and friendly sarcasm.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, is his wife, Shelly Taylor Miles, whom he married October 21, 1996.
Also surviving are two sons, Chris Miles of Ruidoso, N.M., and Ryan Miles (Ingrid) of Bentleyville; a brother, Kelly Miles (Tam) of Washington; a sister, Heather Goodwin (Bill) of Charleroi; and two grandsons, Alex and Anthony Miles.
Deceased is an infant brother, Christopher Miles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, with Pastor Josh Green officiating. Interment will be private.
