Charlotta Marie Simpson

Charlotta Marie Simpson, 75, of Waynesburg, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023 in the Washington Hospital in Washington, Pa.

She was born Tuesday, May 23, 1948 in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Clarence E. Nicholson and Eva Davies Tennant.

Mrs. Simpson belonged to the Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461, the Greene County Horseman’s Association and the Greene County Fox Chasers. She had worked for the Old Station Inn as a cook, and later when it became Max and Sam’s she served as cook as well. She was also a homemaker.

Her Husband: John A. Simpson, whom she married on October 15, 1966 survives. Also surviving are: two daughters, Alberta Simpson of Waynesburg, and Vicki (Kirk) McCartney of Clarksville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diana Walsh of Ohio and Debbie Haught of North Carolina; four brothers, Joe Nicholson, Jeff Nicholson, David Nicholson and Conrad Tennant; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, one son, Robert Allen Simpson; one sister, Linda Brown; and one brother, Clarence Nicholson

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A public greeting of friends and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
