Sean Logue, in his Friday letter, “Action for an absent senator,” does what MAGA folks like to do — throw mud.

He tells us, source-free, that there are now “confirmed lies” and threats. I get it — Logue doesn’t think U.S. Sen. John Fetterman is able to carry out his duties. Is Logue a physician? A nurse? A rehab specialist? What is it he wants to know?

Prior to the election, Fetterman had a stroke that could have been fatal. Through quick medical intervention his life was saved. The voters decided that Fetterman, who has lived in Pennsylvania, was the better choice over someone who doesn’t live in Pennsylvania.

Instead of lying, Fetterman stood up, admitted he was battling depression and asked for help. Why? Because having a stroke can be difficult.

Why is it that MAGA Republicans are really good at telling what they are against instead of telling us what they are for? Gays=Bad. Drag Queens=Bad. Books=Bad. Women’s reproductive rights=Bad. Now we can add Stroke victims=Bad.

I certainly hope for his sake that Logue is never the victim of a near-death experience. He might be unable or unwilling to carry out his duties. I’m not a doctor, but I can say this, can’t I?
