Arlene R. Plott
Arlene R. Plott, 87, of Washington, died Friday, February 24, 2023, in her home.
She was born June 24, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose Hribal Queer.
Arlene was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School.
She worked as a private duty caregiver for many years then worked in housekeeping at the Washington Crown Center in her retirement years.
Arlene loved watching crime shows on television, but her greatest passion in life was caring for others.
She was a former member of the Alpine Club in Washington.
On November 12, 1952, she married the love of her life, Lindsey “Al” Plott, who died June 13, 1998.
Surviving are a son, Adam (Dina) Plott of Washington; three daughters, Linda (Charles) Martin of Washington, Noreen Pago of Washington, and Stacy (Gene) Burdette of Eldersville; 10 grandchildren, Payje and Rhyin Plott, Addison Stover, Christopher Gault, Janet (Michael) Ammons, Robert White, Stephanie (Brad) Redd, Anthony (Heather) Redd, Lyndsay Prevost, and Alyson (Nick) Adair; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and neighbor, Bobby Kendall.
Deceased are a son, Allen D. Plott; a son-in-law, Paul Pago; two brothers, Charles Queer and Robert “Bob” Queer; and a sister, Nellie Baxter.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in the Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor, Dr. Lawrence K. Donovan, director, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
