Frances Loraine Filkorn Golias
Frances Loraine Filkorn Golias, 71, of Washington, died on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
She was born on November 20, 1951, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Joseph John and Julia Ann Balt Filkorn.
Frances dedicated her life to her family, she was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt.
She worked as an overhead crane operator at a steel mill, and then later on as a brakeman on the railroad. She loved reading, crocheting and was a lover of animals, particularly cats.
Frances is survived by her sister, Lisa Filkorn; brother, John (Sherry) Filkorn; daughter-in-law, Sherry Huchko; three grandsons, Danial (Lauren), Chris and Dylan Huchko; foster great-grandsons, Blake and Brandon; nephew, Nathan Filkorn; and her longtime companion, William Gratta, Sr.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, James Jay Huchko, Jr; and niece, Autumn Filkorn.
Arrangements are private and entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
