Donald Alvin Laws
Donald “Don” Alvin Laws, 73, of Washington passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 in the Donnell House.
Don was born February 7, 1950, a son of the late Donald Laws and Alene Laws.
Believer in the Savior of all of the world Christ Jesus.
A graduate of Trinity High School 1968. After high school he served honorably in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1975 during the Vietnam War, taking part in the Operation Frequent Wind Campaign.
He worked as a Journey man in several industries before settling in as a glass moulder at Ross Mould where he retired after 25 1/2 years of dedicated service.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bud Laws; and his wife of 43 years Patricia Laws.
He is survived by five children, Rebekah McDougal, Charles (Shelly) Valentino, Lynn (Ed) Throckmorton, Peter (Marcie) Valentino and Corbie (John) Kuntz; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He will be remembered as a kind and generous man.
His body will be donated to West Virginia University.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
