Gary C. Swihart
Gary C. “Silver Fox” Swihart, 78 of Canonsburg, peacefully passed away on Friday May 5, 2023.
He was born on August 17, 1944 in Canonsburg a son of the late Clarence and Rose Alma Swihart.
He is survived by his son, Michael Swihart; brother, Buck Swihart; nephew, Bryan Swihart; and his children, Shane and Isabelle; and his half-brother, George Yates.
Gary was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 3 years ending in rank Airman Second Class. He also served in the 7030th Air Police K-9 Unit.
Gary served a long career, over 30 years, as a Pennsylvania State Trooper, retiring in 1988. After retirement, Gary was an avid golfer and enjoyed retired life.
Gary was laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
