I am disappointed in the Observer-Reporter for printing a photograph of the perpetrator of the Tree of Life massacre to accompany a story about his trial in the May 31 edition.

Not only does the promotion of this beast play into his hands, providing him the notoriety such killers seek, but it also brings fresh pain to a community trying to heal from the unthinkable act which shattered it.

Mass murderers with a grievance would be dealt with properly by providing photographs and stories about the victims whose lives they snuffed out. The less we focus on those who commit acts of pure evil, the better.
