John E. Patrick
John E. Patrick, 79, of Washington, died Monday, June 12, 2023, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was born June 1, 1944, in Brownsville, a son of the late John and Margaret Toth Patrick.
John was a 1962 graduate of Redstone High School and a 1967 graduate of Penn State University.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
After his military service, John worked for Washington County Children and Youth Services from 1971 until his retirement in 2004.
He was a member of Clarksville Missionary Church, and attended First Church of the Nazarene and Joy Fellowship at Washington Alliance.
John was a member of the American Legion Post #954 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4793.
On June 27, 1969, he married Norma Sabo, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Julie (Robert) Vandervliet of Delaware, Ohio; three brothers, Frank Patrick of Waynesburg, Edward (Susan) Patrick of Montgomery, Ala., and James (Teresa) Patrick of Baytown, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of funeral services, Saturday, June 17, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, with the Rev. Carl Kibler and Pastor Chuck Tracy officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, where Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Army and the Greene County Honor Guard.
