Mark E. VanKirk
Mark E. VanKirk, 63, of Scenery Hill died Tuesday July 04, 2023 at home.
He was born in Mt. Lebanon on May 06, 1960, a son of the late Ronald C. and Janet L. Lindley VanKirk.
He was a 1978 graduate of South Fayette High School. He spent his entire working career at Ritchey Metals Co. He was a member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glyde.
He loved riding his motorcycle, keeping it clean and detailed, as well as attending Bike Weeks. He loved to polish anything that he could make shine. Mark enjoyed maintaining his home and yard, especially mowing the lawn. He was a self-taught electrician, in which he enjoyed putting to use in his many projects. He also liked to spend time camping and spending time with his friends.
On November 2, 1985 he married Janet L. Lynn VanKirk with whom he shared his life with until her passing on August 30, 2013.
He is survived by his daughter, Miranda VanKirk (fiance Jordan Barnhart); sister-in-law, Yvonne Plute (Martin); two nieces, Carli Stay and Kelsey Sevcik; father-in-law, Kemp “Junior” Lynn.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 8, 2023 in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 21 Church Road, Scenery Hill, PA 15360, at 11 a.m. with Rev. William B. Henry Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery.
