Enjoyed outings with Red Hat Society
E. JoAnn “Jodi” Crites-Booth, 82, of Berlin, died September 27, 2013, in her home.
She was born March 5, 1931, in Spraggs, a daughter of Ernest J. and Wilda Thomas Phillips.
Mrs. Crites-Booth was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Mildred J. Phillips; and two husbands, Herbert H. Crites and Floyd W. “Speedy” Booth.
Surviving are six children, Larry L. (Kathy) Booth, Rodney C. Crites, Randy J. (Daphne) Crites and Beverly A. Booth, all of Berlin, Stephen E. Crites of Tennessee and Richard B. (Rosalie) Crites of California; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters Edye D’Eletto of Waynesburg, Jeannie Phillips of Morgantown, W.Va. and Barbara (Albert) Simpson of Spraggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pius Spring Women’s Club. She enjoyed the Red Hat Society outings and scrapbooking.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, with the Rev. Thomas Sprowls officiating. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Phillips Cemetery, Spraggs, Greene County.
