Arlene L. Popko, a self-taught artist from Peters Township, will have some of her work on display at several area shows.

Now through Nov. 13, her watercolors of four churches – St. Benedict the Moor, St. Mary of the Mount, St. Paul’s monastery and Our Lady of the Angels St. Augustine – will on display at Peters Township Library.

She will be part of the South Hills Art League’s 58th annual Juried Art Exhibit at Vanadium Woods Village, 50 Vanadium Road, Scott Township, Oct. 5 -16. A reception with awards will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 6. Her watercolor paintings, “A Dog Named Jake,” “Engine House No 25” and “Gardener In Training” will be on display.

Popko will be one of many local art group members taking part in an event Oct. 10-20 at the Galleria in Mt. Lebanon. Her work and work of others from the McMurray Art League will on display near the Coldwater Creek store. An opening reception will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Oct. 12. Her watercolor paintings for this show are “Snowed In – Tractor,” “Speedy Gets A New Home” and “Always Ready.”
