Monongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in the parlor room of First Presbyterian Church, Sixth and West Main streets, Monongahela. Dr. Miles S. Richards of White Oak, a retired college professor from South Carolina, will speak on the life of Walter Forward, for whom Forward Township in Allegheny County was named.

Bentleyville Lions Club will hold a spaghetti dinner and dance Sept. 28 in the Bentleyville VFD social hall, Main Street. Dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. and the dance will be from 8 to midnight. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger. Two Thumbs Up will play at the dance. BBYOB and snacks. There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 drawings and games of chance. For advance tickets, call Carol at 724-258-3776. Tickets also will be sold at the door.

Washington Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 1 in Room 104,.Courthouse Square. The program will be a review of the scavenger hunt images.

Washington/Fayette & Greene County Council will meet at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 5 at American Legion Post 175, 168 Park Ave., Washington. Coffee and doughnuts will be served. Lunch will be available for $5. There will be raffles and door prizes. Guest is Department of Pennsylvania Auxiliary President Marva Price. For reservations, call Polly Williams at 724-884-5260.
