The Washington County coroner’s office is investigating the death of a Brownsville man who collapsed and died at a bar in California Borough late Friday. Dimetrius Williams, 24, of Baltimore Street in Brownsville, fell to the floor from a bar stool at McMonagle’s Bar on Union Street a little after 11 p.m., according to information provided by the coroner’s office. When emergency personnel arrived, they found two patrons of the bar who were nurses administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but Williams remained unresponsive. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later at 12:14 a.m. Saturday. The cause of death is not yet known.
