Katherine Yazevac, 77, of Langeloth, died Saturday, September 14, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born March 7, 1936, in Atlasburg, a daughter of the late George and Mary Gordon Matijevich.
Mrs. Yazevac, along with her husband, Alex, owned and operated Ace Reconditioners in Washington.
She was a Christian woman who enjoyed reading the Bible and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown. She also liked to cook and knit, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice (David) Duran of Bavington; three grandchildren, Alex, Travis and Katelyn Duran; a brother, Pete Matijevich of Bethel Park; two sisters, Mildred Golonka of Slovan and Stella Matijevich of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husband, Alexander J. Yazevac, who died January 9, 2005; a son, Joseph Yazevac; five brothers, John, Mike, George, Dan and Nick Matijevich; and a sister, Mary Kaminski.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 17.
