Greene County resident enjoyed family time
Delores “Lori” Tharp, 60, of Graysville, died unexpectedly at 8:41 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born July 11, 1953, in East Meadow, N.Y., a daughter of the late Austin Rhodes Jr. and Effie Jeanette Holland Rhodes.
She had resided in the Crabapple and Graysville areas of Greene County for the past 30 years.
Mrs. Tharp attended Baldwin High School, Baldwin, N.Y.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On December 9, 1972, she married Terrance Edward Tharp Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Tammy Tharp, companion of Jason Eddy, and Christina, wife of Christopher Evans, both of Cameron, W.Va., Nancy, wife of Michael Little, of Waynesburg, and Crystal, wife of Hezikiah Jones, of Brave; two sons, Terrance E. Tharp Jr., companion of Debra Calvert, of Waynesburg, and Randy, husband of Courtney Tharp, of Kenosha, Wis.; 24 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Eileen, wife of Duane Ealy, of Behemia, N.Y., Carol, wife of Calvin Hansen, of Levittown, N.Y., and Jeanette, wife of Joseph Hoffman, of Riverhead, N.Y.; three brothers, Doug Rhodes of New York, Joseph, husband of Cookie Rhodes, of Copeg, N.Y., and Austin Rhodes of Mooresville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a brother, James, and a sister, Shirley Rhodes, who both died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of funeral and committal services, Thursday, October 31, in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, with the Rev. William Parker officiating. Interment will be private.
