Dedicated husband, father and grandfather
Gabriel B. Hudock, 88, formerly of Monongahela, died Monday, November 25, 2013, peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born December 1, 1924, to the late Joseph and Catherine Jennings Hudock.
Mr. Hudock was a 1942 graduate of Monongahela High School and 1946 graduate of Duquesne University.
He was owner/operator of Hudock Oil and Gas for 40 years, retiring in 1987.
Mr. Hudock was an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Monica Hudock; four sons, Brian (Barb) Hudock, Regis Hudock, Gabriel (Gloria) Hudock and Joseph (Susan) Hudock; and eight grandchildren, Meghan, Allie, John, Kaitlyn, Connor, Cameron, Stephen and Colin Hudock.
Deceased are a daughter, Maureen Hudock; a daughter-in-law, Joan Hudock; and five siblings, Marcella Hudock, Joseph Hudock, Mary Cassel Latchaw, Catherine Bain and the Rev. Father Regis Hudock.
Mr. Hudock was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Friends are welcome from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.

Loved golf with his son
Ronald Wayne Miller, 56, of Washington, died Monday, November 25, 2013, in Center for Compassionate Care, following a year-and-a-half-long illness.
He was born November 3, 1957, in Washington, a son of the late Ed Miller and Barbara L. Davis Miller.
Mr. Miller was a 1974 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Point Park College for two years.
He was a senior sales representative for Firestone Building Products in Ohio.
Mr. Miller was a member of New Life Worship Center in Weirton, W.Va.
He loved playing adult softball and flag football, golf with his son and going to church.
Surviving are a son, Eric (Lorena) Miller of West Mifflin; a fiancée, Kathy Burns; two brothers, Edward (Julie) Miller of Carmichaels and Larry H. (Sue) Miller of Washington; a sister-in-law, Debbie Miller of Avella; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased is a brother, John L. Miller.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m., the time of service, Friday, November 29, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Bob Mazeroski officiating.

Sandra Denice Mrock, 56, of Donora, formerly of Canonsburg, died Monday, November 25, 2013, following a short illness.

Navy vet enjoyed flower gardening
William “Frank” Pryor, 86, of Washington, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, in his daughter Janice’s home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 22, 1927, in Washington, the second of seven sons of the late Victor C. Pryor and Alma Wilson Pryor.
Mr. Pryor attended Washington and Chartiers Township High School, going directly from school into military service. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy SeaBees 121st Naval Battalion in the South Pacific Theater of Operations. He earned the South Pacific Ribbon, American World War II Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
He was employed by Hazel Atlas Glass Co. and Jessop Steel (Allegheny Ludlum) as a machinist for a combined 49 years.
Mr. Pryor was a member of Buffalo Grange 1523, American Legion, Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, Arms Club and BPOE Elks 776. He was also a 56-year member of Sunset Lodge 623 F&AM and the three York Bodies of the Washington Masonic Center, Washington Chapter 150, Washington Council 1 and Washington Jacques DeMolay Commandery 3, Wa-Cha-Gree Forest 149, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Syria Shriners AAONMS in Pittsburgh and Washington Greene County Caravan 2.
He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. He was an award-winning exhibitor at the Washington County Agricultural Fair with floral arrangements, vegetables, jellies and various canned goods for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, having belonged to Washington Sportsmen Association and Marienville Rod and Gun Club in Marienville. In the 1950s, he was a member of Frazier Simplex Rifle Team and a past member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. He participated in several of the local trap shooting leagues.
His beloved wife, Nancy Riser Pryor, passed away November 17, 1996, ending a loving 41-year marriage.
Surviving are three daughters, Cathy S. (Peter) Insana of Warwick, R.I., Janice M. (Geoffrey) Weinstock of Washington and Beth A. (Jon) Roux of McMurray; three brothers, Duane “Bo” (Patty) Pryor and Carl Pryor, both of Washington, and Olan (Loretta) Pryor of Littleton, Colo.; six grandchildren, Erin E. (Jonathan) Marr, Craig P. Insana, Adam C. (Amy) Weinstock, Megan J. Weinstock, Jason J. Roux and Dustin C. Roux; and a great-granddaughter, Adeline G. Marr.
Deceased are a sister, Alice Pryor; three brothers, Victor “Clyde” (Lois Ann) Pryor, Harold (Geraldine) Pryor and Charles “Chuck” (Elizabeth) Pryor; and a grandson, Nathan A. Roux.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, November 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Stuart Broberg officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.

Member of First Baptist Church
Dorothy Mae Vanderhoof, 83, of Claysville, died unexpectedly at 9:30 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
She was born August 23, 1930, in Claysville, a daughter of the late Earl Cecil and Frances Mae Trussell Vanderhoof.
Miss Vanderhoof resided in the Claysville area all her life, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and was a 1948 graduate of the former Claysville High School.
She was a member of Claysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and McGuffey Senior Citizens and was a former volunteer worker at the community center.
Miss Vanderhoof enjoyed reading her Bible, as well as general reading and magazines.
She was hired as a housekeeper by the late H.H. Brownlee family, founders of the former Brownlee Funeral Home in Claysville. Following graduation from high school, she continued her employment with the family until the passing of Whitey and Romaine Brownlee, and had assisted in the former Brownlee, Ferrell and Heinrich Funeral Homes, for a total of 65 years, prior retiring in 2010.
Surviving are a sister, Mary, wife of Ray Patterson of Moundsville, W.Va.; four brothers, Carl W., husband of Julia Vanderhoof and Paul, husband of Carol Vanderhoof, both of Claysville, Earl Vanderhoof of Knoxville, Tenn., and John, husband of Diane Vanderhoof of Locust Grove, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Doris Manfredi, and two brothers, Gene and Ray Vanderhoof.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, Claysville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, with the Rev. James R. Sevon Jr. officiating. Hannah Powell Zaccaglin, 89, of Wildomar, Calif., formerly of Canonsburg, went to be with her Lord Friday, November 22, 2013.
She was born October 13, 1924, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Albert and Harriet Gardner Powell.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church for 75 years, including Canonsburg Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Zaccaglin and her husband Victor moved to the state of California in 1946.
Surviving are her loving husband of 72 years, Victor; son Victor Lee Zaccaglin; daughter Eileen M. Zaccaglin; brothers James Powell, Elmer Powell and Albert Powell, all of Canonsburg; sisters Harriet Kubicar and Jo Ann Powell, both of Canonsburg; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two children, brother Edward Powell and sister Mildred Spaight.
Viewing was held November 26, in Evans-Brown Mortuary, 27010 Encanto Drive, Sun City, Calif. Interment will be held in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
