Scott Louis Kestner, 52, of Washington, died Friday, November 8, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
He was born August 19, 1961, in Washington, a son of Darla Debbis Doak and the late Robert Kent Kestner.
Mr. Kestner was a graduate of McGuffey High School.
He operated heavy equipment in North Carolina and Virginia for 20 years. He also was a delivery driver for The Medicine Shoppe.
Mr. Kestner played softball for and was a member of the Polish Club.
He was an avid Steelers fan.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his companion, Sheryl “Punkin” Roupe; two sons, Adam (Anna) Kestner of Washington and Mark Crompton of Washington; four daughters, Jennifer (Danny) Carson of Connelly Spring, N.C., Kristy Kestner of Connelly Spring, N.C., Katie Kestner of Hickory, N.C., and Dawn Zambelli of Washington; a brother, R. Todd (Vicki) Kestner of Carencrow, La.; two half sisters, Jill Bloor of Camp Hill and Robin Kerrick of Enola; stepmother Naomi Kestner of Camp Hill; maternal grandmother Clare Debbis of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, November 10, at the Polish Club, 64 Griffith Avenue, Washington. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
